Funtech Review

The teachers were nice, and the lessons were effective, quick and fun and I learnt a lot of stuff that I haven't learnt before in other python courses and I think this time the knowledge will actually stay with me because I always forgot before in other python courses.

Funtech was a fun experience. i started knowing nothing about python and leaving knowing much more. it was hard to begin with but then i got the hang of it and became really easy. I especially liked making projects as i have always wanted to make my thing using coding.

It was a very interesting, productive week. I came to these lessons with already having some Python knowledge, and I think the basics were covered and explained well with demonstration too. We learned the basics like printing and getting user input to more complex loops and large if statements, and eventually working on long form projects. I had fun. and the lessons were interesting. I was challenged at the end by lengthy programs like "Fizz Buzz" and adding a "Wuzz" to extend. I have only faced a few issues such as debugging and small errors in my codes, but everything else went smoothly. It was also nice to see all the codes coming together as sometimes it can get tedious with many variables and if statements. Overall it was a good experience and I think i have gotten more confident in loops,

I found this camp a very well structured easy to understand course. I enjoyed how it was structured as on the first day we recapped skills we had learnt before which helped refresh my mind. We then started learning new topics and I especially liked the structure of this as it kept on building on the new topic. During this and the recap my tutor (Jessica) was super helpful and helped us understand the topics. She would pause when the video's would get quite fast to help us understand better and I really liked how she would give us hints instead of just telling us what to do as I felt this make be get the topics quicker. I also like how as well as giving us hints and we really did not understand it she would show us the code and explain the importance of each part which was really helpful.

I really enjoyed learning with JMA and the rest of the group this week. Some of the things I learnt was lists, formating, while and for loop. I loved it

I really enjoyed the whole camp. It was great and definatly made me think about doing computer science for GCSE s and A levels. I loved it and our tutor was great he helped when i needed it and went at the right speed, challanged me when i finished the task and kept me engaged. 10/10

Python Coding Course

We couldn’t be happier with the Python coding course at Funtech. My son has absolutely loved it from start to finish. Every break, he’s been bouncing out full of excitement, and at the end of each day he’s genuinely been sad that it was over - which says a lot, especially given the hours are long...

We couldn’t be happier with the Python coding course at Funtech. My son has absolutely loved it from start to finish. Every break, he’s been bouncing out full of excitement, and at the end of each day he’s genuinely been sad that it was over - which says a lot, especially given the hours are longer than a typical school day!

What’s really stood out is how engaged he’s been. He’s loved all of the projects and has been so motivated to keep going that I’ve actually had to drag him out for walks just to get him off his screen - otherwise he’d happily spend the whole evening continuing what he started in class.

Not only has he had a fantastic time, but he’s clearly learnt a huge amount too. His confidence has grown, and he’s been excited to talk through what he’s built and how it works.

A special mention to his tutor, Hope, who was exceptional - clearly inspiring, supportive, and brilliant at keeping the students engaged throughout.

A brilliant course that manages to be both educational and genuinely fun, highly recommend and he is excited for the next two, we wish he could do the next one in May and not wait until August!

I really enjoyed this course, it was very well explained and fun. I now understand and can code to some extent. As a new coder, this is a great leap from nothing to programming easy games like hangman, the tutors can explain things very well, and everyone is nice overall great!

How I Found Funtech

Funtech was brilliant this week. I loved it and I hope to do more in the future. I found coding so fun this week and I would do this over a million times. It was so so so so so so so good

Great 1st Python session

My son really enjoyed his 1st week learning Python code. He commented several times that his coach/tutor was excellent and really connected with him. The timing and content seemed very age appropriate. we will be back for more courses in summer holidays!!

it was a great camp and I managed to understand almost everything thanks to my tutor, who was great and really supportive and also helped with my general understanding of python in general and helped me consolidate my basics. :)

This camp was very fun and interesting and my tutor was the best and very chill and very funny so 5 star

A wonderful time at funtech

What I can say is that you really should do funtech. Before you think coding is boring, this camp makes it fun, and it also educates you about coding really well. I highly recommend it, and I also love how fun the coaches are (from past experience).

FunTech October Half Term

We thought that Hope was an excellent tutor for William. She even did extra sessions when he missed the class. William really enjoyed the week and learnt a lot during the camp. We are impressed with his progress in python. William is very keen to do another camp in the future. Thank you so much.

hi team, I dont have much first hand experience of the course (!), but I asked my son and he said he enjoyed it. He said his teacher was great. He is Year 9 and he said the content was too easy, slow pace, but I think in reality it was the right starting point for him and a good space to jump...

He is Year 9 and he said the content was too easy, slow pace, but I think in reality it was the right starting point for him and a good space to jump in (as well as what he covers in school). We intend to put him into the advanced course some time later this year.
