Great summer camp

Jeremy was enjoyed it as it's full of fun activities, made friends, very good boarding house. He will definitely come again next year. Thanks to all the team. Just a little suggestion that it took long time for registering on first day, maybe could be shorten the waiting time to divide into groups.

The option of a two-week course on a half-day basis was great.

Impressive!

Both my kids did the Roblox game designer holiday course, it has been one of theire most enjoyable experiences over the summer holidays. I was very impressed with what they had learned. Both my kids couldn’t stop telling me how wonderful, kind and helpful theire teacher was (Hiba)

The structure of the course was brilliant with lots of breaks and play time incorporated within the day. My kids can’t wait to go back and learn more! (They are going to have to teach me!)

My son was signed up to the Level 1, part 1 course but it quickly became apparent that he had covered quite a bit of the material already. The tutor recognised this and suggested he move up to Level 2. The FunTech team were then brilliant at organising the shift, sending new links and resources to my computer through screen share so that it was a seamless transition.

He really enjoyed the course and learnt loads. It was well-run, the tutors were great and it was a good balance of work and screen break. Would highly recommend!

So I did both arts of the Python coder (L1) course and the previous course prepared me for this course. Python Coder Part 2 is fun (but a little more challenging then Part one) and help is often only one question away. After this course, I walk away knowing some serious stuff about Python. True, I can't make Python create images, but I can sort entire lists and add and take away stuff from lists! All thanks to my old friends Funtech. Tutors are friendly, Python is fun, life can't be better (well it can buuuut I know you know what I mean). Also, instead of lazing around for your break, get stuck in! Do some coding! Play some Minecraft (or whatever games you have)! Have fun! Bye!

Previously I have completed 5 Funtech courses this potentially being my last and through my time at Funtech I have learnt so much due to the small dedicated classes and specialist teachers that don't always feel like teachers and more like friends making it seem as if you are having fun with friends

Previously I have completed 5 Funtech courses this potentially being my last and through my time at Funtech I have learnt so much due to the small dedicated classes and specialist teachers that don't always feel like teachers and more like friends making it seem as if you are having fun with friends whilst you are learning giving you the perfect mix of spending time with a screen and spending time with people a similar ages to you. I originally started my Funtech journey a while before covid when I was completing a day course in scratch then it went to Lego robotics then python we then had covid which gave me a break from coding then I started last year it was my first residential coding course where I was further advancing my python knowledge and now when I am doing the hackathon course I have been able to use similar thinking to allow me to progress quickly through different tasks and for the additional residential activities they are amazing this includes the variety of facilities and equipment that I have access to this then allowing me to form friendships with most of the class plus the knowledge that I have learnt has given me a new way of thinking allowing me to look at computer science as fun not work letting me progress with higher grades in my GCSE's which would be brilliant potentially giving me a life long career in computer science as I am currently interested in going to a-level if not a university masters degree. I would highly recommend sending your child to any Funtech course and I can guarantee that they will enjoy there course activities and much more.

Great Week :D

The week was great, interactive and interesting the course goes through the basics as well as some slightly more advanced but simple codes. The tutors help every time you need and are up for any questions you throw at them and keep you entertained throughout the breaks as well as enjoying your time

The week was great, interactive and interesting the course goes through the basics as well as some slightly more advanced but simple codes. The tutors help every time you need and are up for any questions you throw at them and keep you entertained throughout the breaks as well as enjoying your time with you.

For the course it is THE BEST course that I've ever done and takes the most complex codes and breaks them down throughout five days.

Funtech overall is great even one evening hosting a gaming tournament for both day and residential students.

Very enjoyable and worthwhile experience

The lessons each day were varied and informative whilst also being fairly easy to follow along. The student to teacher ratio was good and the tutors were very helpful and taught the lessons well and thoroughly. The accommodation was very nice and the evening entertainment was very enjoyable each day

Wonderful, interactive and overall fun week.

I really enjoyed most of my time in the camp. The lessons were interactive, very educational and fun. I learnt quite a lot in the space of the week. I made loads of amazing friends and an absolute blast. They help you with everything, in lesson and out. Lunchtime breaks always had energetic and fun

Lunchtime breaks always had energetic and fun activities and game time (17:00-21:00/22:00 depending on age) were always an enjoyable and calming time playing pool, football, basketball with friends or crashing on the couch watching your phone, TV or playing board games with friends. I think over all this camp was this camp was amazing all of the staff was nice, the food was delicious and you have lots and lots of fun.

THE FUNTECH CAMP IS COOL

The lunches are yummy in my tummy, good activities and the teachers join in as well and we learn lots of coding. Good, Fun and good Teaching.Great camp.

Worthwhile experience

Very good and learnt a lot. Recommend it a lot and cool teachers. The teachers are highly qualified and clever as well as nice. By doing this course you are being taught by geniuses especially Tom. Tom is a very good teaher.

This course has been a really useful way to learn more about Unreal Engine as it is a helpful environment to learn in with a tutor always ready to answer any questions you may have.

My 10 year old really enjoyed this course. It was a great activity for him to round off the summer holiday. He is already asking to book on to the next level!

I was doing the hackathon course and as someone who has never hacked before I did not know what to expect other than that it would be hard. Even though I had no experience of hacking, Tom and Seb helped me a ton with hacking and always come to my aid with insightful and full responses to my many questions. I also really liked how every hour we get a 15 minute break of social games away from the computer. I really enjoyed playing mafia and splat. I was surprised at how spacious the rooms were and and the fact that we get one room per person. The food was also good and lunch activities were also fun. My only pet peeve is that they did not let us order food but Its not that big of a deal. In conclusion, I really recommend going to this camp if you want to have an amazing time and still somehow learn a lot and meet a bunch of new people.
