Our City of London camps take place at Prior Weston School in the Barbican. The summer holiday camps run Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, with optional wraparound care from 8:30am for early drop-off and until 5:30pm for late pick-up - a practical fit for parents working in and around the Square Mile.
Every FunTech camp is built around a structured tech course. Children choose from a wide range of subjects - from first steps in coding through to game design and more advanced programming - and spend the week learning with a specialist tutor in a small class, averaging six children and never more than eight. By the end of the week, they’ll have built something real to show you, and they’ll take home a completion certificate.
Families in the City of London have plenty of holiday childcare options; what’s rarer is a summer camp where children come home having genuinely learned something. That has been FunTech’s approach since 1996. Our tech camps have the practical shape of a day camp - full days, supervised breaks, a different physical activity each lunchtime, and wraparound care - built around real, tutor-led teaching, with screen breaks through the day.
FunTech is a technology education provider, not a general activity camp. Courses at our City of London summer camps cover areas such as coding, game design and creative technology, grouped by age and experience so that a seven-year-old beginner and a teenager with real coding experience each get a week pitched at their level. Children learn by building practical projects - and by understanding how their project works, not simply following instructions.
