Reading’s FunTech summer camps are hosted at Reading School, running Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm through the summer holidays. Wraparound care is there when you need it - drop off from 8:30am, collect as late as 5:30pm.
Rather than a timetable of one-off activities, each child spends the week on a single structured course. They pick their subject - first-time coding, game design, or something more advanced - and work through it with a specialist tutor alongside a handful of other children: six per tutor on average, never more than eight. Friday brings a a certificate to carry home.
Our Berkshire holiday clubs in Reading come in every flavour - sport, drama, general activity. FunTech’s is the technology one, and it takes the learning seriously. The practical parts parents depend on are all present: full days, wraparound care, supervised breaks, a daily lunchtime activity. What fills the hours between is a week of genuine, expert-led learning - the model FunTech has run since 1996. Screens are used with purpose and put down regularly, with breaks through the day and fresh air whenever the weather cooperates.
Reading is FunTech’s only Berkshire venue, and families join us from across the county as well as the town itself. If a daily journey doesn’t suit, there are two alternatives that keep the same small-group, tutor-led teaching: our virtual camps, which run live over the school holidays, and our residential camps at Tonbridge School in Kent, where children stay for the full week.
