Funtech

This year I have had the pleasure to code with funtech. The lessons not only made my weekend better also is allowing the to do my GCSE's next year. Not only that, the tutors are always kind and funtech is unbeaten in the ways they help you learn and how helpful the tutors are if you need help.

It was great with Bryn

at first itv was difficult until i got more and more experianced than i was soon i did very well and had fun alot of fun but since it may be my last day one funtech i would miss all the tutors

Funtech's lessons have consistently tested my knowledge while also expanding it. I genuinely feel like this course has given me a greater understanding of not only C++ or Unreal Engine, but how code itself functions. This course was very helpful, however sometimes the timings were inconvenient, which was my only real complaint along this journey.

Really fun

I really did like this course. The code my hero course was really fun and definitely my favourite and I will most certainly use these tools in the future to code my own games and websites! I found that some topics or units weren't as captivating as others but that is personal preference.

This week was a wonderful learning experience and fun way to get taught about Roblox Studio and making Roblox games. Overall, the week was very helpful and gave me a great start to creating games. However, I did find some challenges to be on the easier side and lacking a real challenge. The questions were very easy at first, but as the week progressed, they got more tricky. Definitely something i would do again and recommend to my friends

The lessons were really fun and engaging, and I loved all the activities that we did. I felt like I learnt a lot and would recommend it to other python beginners.

I really loved doing all the things that we did this week especially making the mazes and learning about different types of gates. I am looking forward to part 2 next week! Thank you very much to my teacher this week.

it was a great camp and I managed to understand almost everything thanks to my tutor, who was great and really supportive and also helped with my general understanding of python in general and helped me consolidate my basics. :)

Good course

We made a lot of projects; I enjoyed making them, and the teaching was also efficient. I also understood everything. We mainly made platformers and pong games, and it was very fun overall.

Funtech Part 2 Python

It was really fun, and knowledgeable which taught me so many things about Python. We learnt about lists, while loops, for loops, indexes, algorithms (bubble sort and linear search) and so much more... Also, the teacher had a positive impact on the lesson.

Everything was well explained and the sessions were fun and interactive
there should still be gamemaker courses but unity ones were good :)

This camp was overall enjoyable and informative. I learn a lot about Unity and it's programming language (C#). I got plenty of support both in person and online and it allowed me to develop my understanding of game development and coding which are two fields I am very interesting. All in all it's a nice way to spend a week in summer doing something other than sitting at home.

My Review

This was a very fun and nice camp. I really enjoyed how I could create whatever I wanted and had a fun time with the other students. The teachers were also extremely nice and I really like this camp overall.

Very good teaching of coding and very educational

The camp was very good even though some parts were hard for me but the tutor helped me understand what to do. I would say it was worth my time and it was a very enjoyable week.

It was good but quite hard

I was doing OOP and its was quite hard but the teacher helped me to understand. I also liked the fact that there were activities every night like a Minecraft tournament and movie night. The only problem is that the breaks are quite short but lessons are pretty good.

It was amazing

it was great and really fun i loved playing and coding minecraft all day!

LEGO robotics

This week was fun and we did lots of things. I liked programming the robots and watching them move.

The lessons were interesting, the tutors (Brooke and Daniel) were really good and explained things well, boarding was fun overall, there were lots of activities and the pastoral tutors (Abul, JMA and Charlotte) were also really friendly

Good

I think the weeks lessons are very good, why, because the staff are very nice, they make it very easy even when it looks hard and lastly, I think the time table is very efficient like the screen breaks and lunch times, I think they planed the time very well.

Fun and learnt a lot

I learnt a lot more than i was expecting from this camp. I built on my python knowledge as well as solidifying my previous knowledge. There were alwasy tasks if i finished my work quickly

FunTech is a good camp and I learned a lot more about Python and I feel much more confident programming in Python without just having to copy down instructions. FunTech is good because in previous Python and text based coding classes, I have just had to copy down code without taking in any information or learning anything, but in FunTech we actually LEARN how to code in Python. In the beginning of the camp we would only use console text and no graphics, but today (on the last day) we used Python Turtle which was really fun because we got to draw and use graphics.

The course was super fun and interesting towards the end. The pace was a little slow at the start but was good by the end. The projects were challenging but enjoyable. I also thought the course was well structured.
