I've really enjoyed this year at FunTech because everything that we've done has been really fun. All of the games we made and the tasks we did were very fun in general. The tutor I had explained everything really well and I managed to understand all of the topics this year. If I got a little bit confused after some explanation from my tutor and some practise I managed to understand it all well.

The topics learnt this term were more difficult than the ones we've learnt earlier, but the videos given added an explanation on how to go about the programs. The dijkstra one was something I found to be challenging, however my tutor made sure I understood it with time. The edit-its helped as they showed me how to correct errors in a program or what to add. The questions at the beginning of every session helped recap what we learnt previously, enabling me to move forward. Furthermore, my the screen-share allowed my tutor to help me which I found to be useful especially with longer pieces of code.

I think funtech as a whole is good, there is no major issues. I enjoyed the lessons because they were structured and relatively easy to follow, while also being fun. other things like skill checks were also good.

Term Time

I like the idea of remote term time courses, it's quick and simple. Smart tutors who are great at teaching and a nice tech support team. I learn't so much more python. It was all very fun

This year we covered so many concepts - tkinter, queues, stacks ,encapsulation, nodes, edges and so much more. The Level 2 course was great for me. My tutor was able to explain concepts well and help me understand the trickier ones. There were also fun challenges that I enjoyed such as coding pac-man and battleships. The tests helped me apply and consolidate my knowledge. Overall, I really enjoyed learning python this year and I recommend it to other people who want to start learning this coding language!

I have really enjoyed my time learning with Techpro resourced. The teachers are fun and helpful and i have learnt so much!
If it wasn't for Funtech I would be staring at the computer completely bewildered.

It's been really fun and I've enjoyed learning all the different topics. We have been taught well and had fun as well :) I've enjoyed the ways we were taught and I have found that I remember what we've learnt and can apply it outside of lessons.

Great Year.

Lessons were really detailed, and organised. I, personally, didn't miss anything and still remember key points from lessons such as photoshop and animation, again, overall, great lessons! Goodbye!!

PC04 - yet another general purpose AMAZING funtech course

Throughout PC04, we learnt about the programming language C++, which is quite a step up from Python, especially because we have the same content as PC01 and PC02 bundled into one course where you learn these techniques in a new language. Presumably, this is for PC05, where you start making games ...

Throughout PC04, we learnt about the programming language C++, which is quite a step up from Python, especially because we have the same content as PC01 and PC02 bundled into one course where you learn these techniques in a new language. Presumably, this is for PC05, where you start making games in C++. But though it was a step up from Python, I blazed through the content because of my tutor Toru, who was happy to help when I got stuck. I will definitely do PC05 next year, and I would wholly recommend FunTech as the sole competitor for getting your kids into coding.

I found this course extremely interesting, all the content was new to me and the tutors were amazing at explaining everything. I found that each term we were learning different things and it was nice to be able to link them all together at the end. I particularly enjoyed the final term where we looked at AI, Sound and Effects which allowed you to polish projects. I thought that throughout the content was extremely well explained, often going into depth as to why we do things rather than just how and never found it to be rushed through. If I found anything confusing the tutors were sure to help me with it or recap if needed. All the projects were really well structured and by the end of each term I felt confident in each area!

Overall my experience with fintech was fantastic, of course it there were areas i found challenging, but i absolutely loved it and hope to do it more in the future!!

First Year at Funtech A Level

Very good first year being taught the year 1 content for CompSci A-Level. The lessons were intresting and it rarley felt boring or slow-paced. Looking forward to completing my NEA in the coming month as well.
