I really enjoyed my week at FunTech, The food was consistently good and i liked the yoghurt and oranges.

sadly the top floor beds are quite hard :(
The course was really informative and was fun.

It was not only super fun to connect with other students who share the same passion for technology and innovation, but I also learned so much while collaborating on our exciting projects. The experience was both educational and enjoyable, allowing us to exchange ideas and significantly enhance our technical skills. We tackled challenging tasks together, which made our victories feel even more rewarding and meaningful. The energy and enthusiasm in the group were contagious, creating an inspiring atmosphere that motivated us all. I can’t wait for the next event and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to unleash their creativity and improve their problem-solving abilities. It’s an incredible opportunity to have a great time with like-minded peers who share similar interests and goals, fostering friendships that extend beyond just the event itself. The food was divinly succulent as well, adding to the overall experience of camaraderie and collaboration during our sessions.

One of the best camps i have been to.

My stay was great. I am sad that it is over. The staff were so nice and really fun. We played loads of fun games and had a movie night. I loved this experience i hope to be coming back next year!

I did Hackathon - Cyber Security. Throughout this whole course everyone has been nice to me. The instructors helped me(and everyone) though each step. It was really nice how we had breaks every now and then. It was really fun (No pun intended). :)

Really fun, nice people

The staff were friendly (as were the students), and the course was fast paced and fun. My daughter spent a happy week doing the Cyber Security Hackathon and was keen to go every day.

I found this course very Interesting and enjoyable

I would recommend this course to anyone interested in the way data is stored on computers and the security of how it is stored and how it can still be obtained . It surprised me how few people booked this specific course. Would reccomend!

It was good, and I learnt quite a lot about different commands that I could try and use to hack into different servers. The challenge at the end was really fun and interactive, too. However, for me, what made FunTech fun was not the course, but the people. I had two great instructors, Rayan and Matt, and I made a few friends in the course, who wish to remain anonymous. Overall, IT WAS AMAZING AND I'D DO IT AGAN IF NOT FOR THE COST.

Hackathon Cybersecurity Review

I had a lot of fun during this camp! All the staff were very friendly and the atmosphere is always relaxed and comfortable. There was a lot of information but everything was explained very clearly and the challenges were effective in applying what we've learnt. I had a great time!

GREAT CAMP

I really liked the camp and I learnt a lot from it and also remembered a lot and had a great teacher, especially since you need to memorise quite a few commands and since its a really big and importanat thing in technology today i think i had a great time and would definitely advise it for others

I did the Python level two camp last year, which was great, and this year was even better. I was in the cybersecurity hackathon course and despite a couple technical difficulties at the start, we covered loads of content in just a week. Our tutors always made sure that every student had fun and could keep up with the content, no matter their ability or computer science experience. I was genuinely challenged by some of this week's content, and even as one of Funtech's older students, I had fun with the other students. It was amazing to be welcome by such great tutors, including some familiar faces from last year. This will be my last year as a student, but I hope that I can come back in the future as an assistant or tutor. Highly recommend to anyone who's looking for a way to fill your summer or explore some new computer science topics!

Great week, where we learned how to use Kali linux to do [ETHICAL] hacking! :D The couse is clear and has great challenging tasks! Thank you! Also we need CyberSecurity 2!
All in all the week went great, and accomodation, food, teachers and other students were lovely!

I learnt a lot. I booked on this course because I wasn't old enough for the next stage of CyberFirst, now I feel confident enough for when I am able to. You learn very interesting things and the tutors are always happy to help if you need it. I made lots of friends during my time here and had lots of fun with them. We got little emoji keychains too! We used virtual machines to practice. The course is set up with lots of interesting assignments and we get to take notes along the way.
The food and board was very good. I'm not sure how well a picky eater would do but I know we had lots of alternative options for allergies, intolerances and dietary preferences. In the evenings we had lots of entertainment opportunities. We played mafia far too many times haha but there was table tennis, football, foosball, card games and more. On Thursday we had a movie night :D JMA absolutely destroyed me in Super Smash Bros (twice) but I'll be practicing for next year. The dorms were cool, I was lucky and my hallway only had me and Jess. It was cool to get to sort of experience boarding school for a bit. Me and Jess played Cuphead a few times too (we weren't very good lol)
I wish there was something like a (moderated) student forum on the portal so we could share advice with fellow students and ask for things like course recommendations with other students.

As the title says, I had an amazing time learning to hack. I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I started the course, but from the second day onwards we were hacking actual virtual computers! The tutors were really friendly and helpful, and the lunches were really tasty. I found using the Linux Command Terminal really interesting, but my favourite part of the course was learning how to crack password hashes. I really like the fact that we had notes documents that we were constantly updating, as it made it really easy to look back at what we had done before. I would definitely recommend, 5 stars!

My time was amazing, I was fully invested in the hacking aspect and overwhelmed by the stuff they actually allowed us to do. The instructors were so open to talk and play games. Shout-out to JMA and Abul. The facilities were amazing playing foosball and table-tennis with the instructors/kids. The afternoon activities were a highlight to my day, playing Dodgeball, Minecraft, Movie night, Scuba. The instructors were sacrificing sleep, to cater to our possible needs. 100% would come again. It was really fun and super interesting. I've learnt a lot of a whole new computing language in five days. Some of the content we learnt in Hackathon (we were told) might actually come up in GCSE, such as what cookies are and what http(s) stands for. However, I feel like I don't exactly understand as much as I would have liked and the final project I feel is a big step up from what we've learned over the week. Overall, really enjoyed!

I enjoyed this camp very much. I found that the techniques and skills were very easy to pick up thanks to both the teachers and the interactive slide show that the class went through. I will definitely recommend this to my friends.

i learnt sooo much valuable knowledge about hecking! ye very good! bogos binted! jma would be proud.. anyway good course. we covered lots of topics from ip scanning to html form attacking and metasploit. the teachers were peak no cap and helped whenever. shout out to joe and vigus lolzers
